Facebook post

I’m not a facebook user for a simple reason. Its because I just don’t have a need or want to go on facebook. I have nothing against people on facebook, since I think it’s a great way to find friends, keep in touch with others around the world, as well as express your thoughts on some things. Though I think that some people are becoming addicted to it and need to moderate their facebook activities with reality. Also my feelings on Employers on facebook, well that’s mixed up, on one hand they can learn more about employees to hire and learn about their personalities and traits, however on the other hand it doesn’t give them a good clear picture about the person their viewing since are work and causal llives are usually completely different from each other. Also about the Media and Businesses joining onto facebook is very simple really, they want feedback from the people who use their services/products  and how they reacted to them so they can change something or improve an aspect of that service/product. These are my thoughts on facebook, overall it’s a pretty nice social networking site from what I’m hearing a lot about it.

My Major

My college major is in Mechanical Engineering. I choose this field because I feel like I could do work that I really love to do. There are several things I feel make me more suited to this major. One is that I love to do things with my hands and another is that I'm good in math calculations due to a need of them for engineering. Once I graduate I plan on staying in Dayton. This is due to my family always moving around, so I find the chance to settle down a good choice for me. I think the prime ideal employment situation would be in a factory, mostly likely a automotive factory, but I can never be to sure of what employment opportunities I could have or find.

TV Question

If we could unplug all the TV sets in America, our children would grow up to be healthier, better educated, and more independent human beings. This is the question a was asked to think about for this post. In honest I think that I disagree with it. My main reason is that TV has become a major part of our lives in all aspects. It hosts many shows for all viewer as well as educationally and health shows due to seeing them myself and from the occasionally magzine. Just getting rid of TV won't rid America or guarante that our children will grow any healthier, better educated, or more independent human beings without the influence of TV. Franklly I think its not the actually TV sets we should be worried about since many programs and shows can be benefical to us, but what our children actually view and what gets aired on TV that we should be worried about, since I've seen alot of weird and frankly to me distrubed shows on TV.

Rhetorical situation Painting

I choose Firda Kahlo as my artist and her painting The Two Fridas. The purpose of the painting is to express Frida’s feelings about her divorce with muralist Diego Rivera. It shows basically two sides of her, with one being from her time with Diego due to a Locket in her hand, but the other I’m unsure of what the white dress Frida is to represent. The stance of Painting is to convene her feelings supposal of what she feels about the divorce and the inside and outside of herself. The Genre is that of a Self Portrait Painting due to her being the main subject in it, she seems to due mostly that kind of Genre in her paintings. The Design is oblivious a Painting that is done using oil paints and using a lot of symbolism in the painting as well with the hearts of the Fridas being visble to give meaning to the expression “wearing my heart on a Sleeve”. I Believe the intended audience of the painting is mainly for her herself so she can express her feelings through and never intend for it to be widely viewed.
